Links

There are two sets of links on this page. The first set is directly related to genealogy related sites. The second set is for links of interest submitted by others and include personal web sites and other non-genealogy web sites.

Genealogy Links

Ancestry.com / Genealogy.com
These two web sites are probably the leading subscription-based genealogy sites on the web. While there is information available at no cost, access to the bulk of their data requires varying levels of subscriptions. Genealogy.com is also the home of the Family Tree Maker software.

Automated Genealogy
If you have a lot of ancestors in New Brunswick, this web site will save you hours of searching the PANB online. For a very reasonable fee, you can upload your gedcom file and this site will automatically search all the PANB indexes and the 1901 census for matching records.

Cousin Connect
A great place to search and/or post queries regarding ancestor searches. They also have family tree data. This is a free site.

Family Search
This is the Mormon genealogy web site and is completely free. Not only can you do online searches, you can find out what is in their library and the location of the nearest Family History Center.

New Brunswick GenWeb
The New Brunswick home of the Canadian GenWeb project. There is a lot of provincial information here.

Our Roots
This web site is the product of a special project that takes old, out-of-print books of genealogical and historical interest and scans them for posterity. They have developed a great way of making the books available online AND the contents are searchable! This is a MUST-check-out web site.

Provincial Archives of New Brunswick
In my humble opinion, this is THE most easy-to-search, accessible government database in either Canada or the US! The PANB has been an invaluable resource for me.

RootsWeb
This web site bills itself as the oldest and largest free genealogy site. It is also the home of the GenWeb Project and a valuable -free- source of family trees.

Google Genealogy Search
Click here for many more sites than I have room to list here.

The Wolverton Family - New Brunswick Connection
This is Carl Wolverton's genealogy site. Carl provided all the information on Jane Larlee's line and I am truly grateful!
